- I am the mother of four, grandmother of five, wife of thirty-six years... I have written poetry since I was fourteen, which branched into playwriting early on. I am a Thespian for the past 21 years, trained at the world renowned Karamu House, in Cleveland, Ohio from 1986 until 1996. My duties included performing, teaching, coaching, mime, Assistant Director of DTY (Drama/Theatre for Youth), and Liaison; for Black Celebrities who came into the City to perform. My dream; to publish several books with the over 5,000 poems in my collection, produce my original plays, and Poetic Theatre, and earn a Ph.D. I am founder of RENEEissance Arts…Youth Troupe, since 1985, co-founder of “1Plus1 PRODUCTIONS“, and community activist. Poetry is my passion. Theatre is my love, and I adore the quiet me, as a MIME! My life courses in this flow; God, me, immediate/extended family, and friends. It is these, who give me in abundant supply, my greatest hope and unending encouragement. I hope that you will read, enjoy, and identify with my poetic voice.
